Our Story
The story of Deermimi began in the summer of 2024.
Back then, we simply wanted to find a pair of socks for our newborn baby that felt soft, comfortable, and stayed gently in place.
But we soon realized that many baby socks were not as easy and worry-free as we had hoped.
Even a tiny pair of socks can hide many small details that are easy to overlook.
What We Noticed
Some socks were too loose,
and kept slipping down while being worn.
Some cuffs were too tight,
and could easily leave marks around tiny ankles.
Some socks had too many loose threads inside,
which made us worry that tiny toes might get caught.
Our Goal
We wanted to find socks that truly fit into a baby's everyday life:
soft against the skin, gentle on little feet, not constantly slipping down, and never uncomfortably tight.
Whether turning over, crawling, standing, or taking those first little steps, tiny feet should feel softly wrapped and comfortable.
Our Selection Process
We bought many different pairs of baby socks.
Each pair had to prove itself in real everyday moments: turning over, crawling, standing, pulling up, and playing.
Only the socks that stayed securely on little feet, without pressing, slipping, or bothering the baby, were kept.
From Testing to Our Standards
At first, we were simply looking for socks for our own baby. But through repeated testing, observing, and comparing, we gradually developed our own selection standards.
We learned that truly good baby socks are not just cute.
They should sit softly around little feet without pressing uncomfortably. They should stay reliably in place while a baby turns over, crawls, stands, and plays, without restricting natural movement.
We also began to look more closely at the details that are often overlooked: Is the toe area neatly finished? Are loose threads removed? Does the cuff feel comfortable? Is the material soft enough to the touch?
Shared with Little Friends
Later, we also shared these carefully selected socks with the babies of friends to try.
It made us happy to see that they felt comfortable and could move freely. Our friends also told us that the socks were pleasant to wear and did not need to be constantly adjusted.
That gave us even more confidence: socks like these, made for everyday baby life, deserve to be discovered by more families.
Sharing Because We Care
Deermimi did not begin with a cold business plan.
It began in the everyday life of a mom who kept searching for the right socks for her baby, and from our honest attention to the comfort of tiny baby feet.
We want to share the socks we would truly love to put on our own baby with even more families.
